Why celebrating you is important

Sometimes birthdays can be a difficult time for some of us, but I’m here with a quick little reminder that celebrating another year of you is so important! I recently had a birthday out of the country and it was really difficult not being around my family and friends that I’d normally may have spent the day celebrating with. I was so tempted to just stay in bed and just let the day roll by as any ordinary day, but something told me to not allow my day to escape me without showing out for myself! My birthday is worth celebrating, and so is yours! Give yourself a high five or a pat on the back, because you made it to see another year! You’ve probably had a lot of silent battles, but you made it to the other side! You pushed through some of the most challenging obstacles (school, work, kids,family, marital, mental health, your physical health). All of this to say, you are worth celebrating! So if you are celebrating alone, that’s okay, and if you’re celebrating with friends, that’s okay too! All that matters is that you make the time and take the time to celebrate you!
