UPDATE (20 Oct 2024): Gel mani on my left middle finger has chipped off 😂 it didn’t even last 24 hours omg.

Sharing my mani pedi experience in Johor Bahru on 19 Oct 2024. I was whisked into this unbelievably cheap mani pedi promotion by a Vietnamese lady. It was too good to be true LOL.

Stepped into the shop at there were 2 Vietnamese men working (whom I thought were just helping to wash customer’s feet).

I asked for a lady and the staff said “两个人，你要快吗?”(Two person, you want faster?”).

To which I replied that I wasn’t rushing and would like a female staff.

None of the female staff tended to me so I decided to trust the male nail technicians since they looked confident?

But girls, TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS.

The guy who did my manicure couldn’t even get the cat eye nail colour I asked after 3-4 tries. He tried silver, dark brown, orange & then pink….which I acceptable in the end cos I gave up. Just compare the photos of what I was expecting and how it turned out.

As for my pedi, I couldn’t see my feet as the gel UV machine for my mani was blocking my feet when it was down simultaneously together. LO AND BEHOLD…. when I saw my completed GEL PEDI. It was so thick and uneven? I’m not a fussy customer but it was so ugly looking la pls. I only told them to fix my BIG TOES even tho the rest also cannot make it.

FINALLY the female staff came to inspect my toenails and admitted that it was not done properly so I had to have the gel pedi removed and done again for my whole right foot. I told her to just redo my left big toe only because I didn’t wanna waste time in that nail shop.

MORAL OF THE STORY: JUST PAY MORE $$ TO GET A DECENT MANI PEDI. Most of the other shops in KSL were offering around RM140-$180 for classic gel mani pedi. I regret being a cheapskate cos I wasted TIME AND MONEY 😭

DON’T BE LIKE ME 😪 FYI, I just went to search on this WENDY NAIL shop on lemon8 and saw a few other similar reviews.
