Japanese Restaurant that always Fully Booked 🍣

🔎 Ishin Japanese Dining, Old Klang Road

They are a Japanese restaurant located at Old Klang Road, which is just 5-10 minutes away from Mid Valley. They are an award-winning restaurant with authentic Japanese and Kaiseki-style cuisine. They are always full house so it is highly recommended to make a reservation in advance.

They have two floors and you may park your car right in front of the restaurant. Parking is free when you dine in but you may give some tips to the abang . We arrived on a weekday afternoon and arranged the bar seating. They do have normal seating but with more privacy. The servers there are really friendly and they will provide you with green tea + ipad for menu when you are seated. There are many choices of food and the price is on the higher side but it tastes pretty decent.

📌 Sashimi Moriawase - This is recommended by their server. There are five types of sashimi and I have attached their names in the picture. Their sashimi is fresh and thick!

📌 Beef Teppanyaki Set - This is their lunch set and the portion is big. It has sides which are miso soup and fruit. We ordered a medium-cooked beef and it was delicious! The texture is alright and the beef itself is juicy. However, I think it will taste even better if is medium rare.

📌 Hotate Cheese - I highly recommend you to order this dish 👍🏻 It is a huge scallop with generous cheese on top. Scallops are fresh and it goes really well with the cheese super flavourful!

📌 Tempura Mori - This is mixed fried tempura that has tempura, eggplant, sweet potatoes, etc. Not too oily but very crispy.

📌 Tatami Wawashi - This is a snack, a thin crisp with grilled baby sardine.

📌 Macha Ogura - This is matcha ice cream with red bean on top. Matcha ice cream is quite good as it has matcha taste and is not sweet, so the red bean helps in adding some sweetness to balance.
