This year I’ve only read 3 books🫠. Good news is that’s a huge improvement from previous years! 😊
I finished my 3rd one last night. I’m planning to start my next one today, and I’m hoping to read 2-3 more by the end of 2023! So to help keep me on track, I thought I’d share the books I read and rate them for anyone looking for a book recommendation. If anyone has any recommendations, I’d love to hear them!
1) The Last One Left by Riley Sager: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed this one! It was one I couldn’t put down, and I stayed up super late to finish it! Just a heads up, if you aren’t going to have time to read the last 10-12 chapters in one sitting, don’t start! Wait til you have time so you aren’t up til 3 am 😂.
2) The Bird & the Sword by Amy Harmon: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really loved this book! This book helped me get back my desire to read more! It kept me engaged and I couldn’t put it down! This is the first of two in a series(The Bird and the Sword Chronicles).
3) The Queen and the Cure by Amy Harmon: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
(More like 3.5 stars)
This is the second book of The Bird and the Sword Chronicles. I thought it was a continuation of the story of the main characters from book one, but it focused on a supporting character and introduced a new main character. (I saw there was another book, got excited, bought it, and didn’t read the synopsis to pick up that it was a different story🙈). It sort of disappointed me at first, and it made it hard to want to keep reading so I put it down for a while. Then I finished the book by listening on Spotify. It improved a lot, but wasn’t as good as the first book! I think I would have liked it more had I been aware of what I was going to be reading.
