I Tried Micro-needling: Here’s How It Went. 💉

✨ Microneedling sure was an adventure! Why did I do it? I was hoping to say goodbye to fine lines and texture. The verdict? It worked…for the most part.

The Why: They say that you need to do 3 sessions over 3 months - but every quarter. So basically, once a month? I only did three sessions to see how my skin does in the coming months. I will say, post-microneedling, my skin's texture is markedly more smooth. 〰️

The Experience: The actual pen is more like an annoying, chafing tickle than painful. While the pen does its magic, your fave is numb (they put a numbing cream on for 30 mins prior). 🤕

The After: Yes, your face turns a tomato shade post-session, but that's just a temporary phase lasting 2-3 hours. It feels tight and like you have a bad sunburn, but totally manageable. A hint of red lingers for the next few days but mine was gone around day 4. 🍅

Here's the kicker! A week later, makeup became my BFF. I rarely wear it, but boy, the texture difference was unreal. I used to hate seeing that texture through my makeup but it was almost invisible. As for fine lines? They’re a little less noticeable but not totally gone. 💄

If you’re eyeing this service, it’s a hefty price tag so make sure it’s what you really want. I may keep up with it but I’m going to give it a few more months to see my results.
