I’m a bit excited! I thought about making a video but felt a bit uneasy, so instead, I’m writing this post to respond to many of you. The consensus is that I need to do more video content, particularly showing how I style the fashion pieces and beauty items I talk about. So, let’s dive into this post!

One of my followers suggested I talk about the products I use. First off, I’m not a professional hairstylist and generally wouldn’t recommend doing this yourself—so proceed with caution if you choose to!

Here’s my routine: The beauty of keeping my hair short is that it minimizes damage. Yes, bleach is harsh, but since my hair is short, I can just trim off the damaged ends and start fresh. I’m not too worried about experimenting because it’s just hair to me, and I can always cut it off!

My go-to bleach has always been Quick Blue Lightening Powder. It works effectively for my hair texture, lifting it within 40 to 45 minutes without needing a second application. However, as we age, our body and hormones change, which can affect our hair too—but that’s a topic for another day.

Recently, I’ve had to apply bleach twice, but before any bleaching, I do a pre-treatment. The day before, I use Bambu Nutritive Hair Treatment, another favorite of mine. For the developer, I typically use Clairol Pure White 40 volume. I’ve scaled back from 50 volume to avoid too much damage due to frequent applications.

After bleaching, I style my hair using Lotta Body Wrap Me Foaming Mousse, yet another favorite. Here’s a quirky twist—I add lavender body massage oil to the mousse. I haven’t made it to the organic store, this body oil works fine. It’s free from parabens, mineral oil, fragrances, artificial color, and gluten. It’s essentially an essential oil, so my philosophy is if it’s safe for your body, it should be safe for your hair.

That’s my current haircare routine! Always remember, what works for me might not work for everyone, so adjust accordingly and consult a professional if unsure.
