Bali itinerary | Day 6 - last day in Ubud

We had a slow morning and then explored a little more of Ubud on our last day here before we hit the road to our next hotel in Uluwatu.

Morning in Ubud

🍳Ordered ‘The Experience’ floating breakfast ahead of time with our hotel (Wana Bucu Villas)

☕️We had to try Luwak Coffee before we left:

*This coffee is processed in the digestive track of the luwak palm civet. In other words, the palm civet eats coffee cherries and passes the coffee beans through its body undigested.

*The beans undergo a process not unlike fermentation in the palm civet’s gut. Digestive enzymes break down the proteins, shortening the peptides, and freeing some of the bean’s amino acids. This process results in a softer, smoother final result once the beans are gathered, cleaned, roasted, grounded, and brewed into coffee.

🛕Walking around Ubud and exploring the streets. Other things to do in Ubud:

*Try Babi Guling from a local spot

*Local shops up and down the streets

Goa Gajah

🚗This was only 14 minutes away and super easy as you park for free and then walk only about 2 minutes to the entrance tent where you buy your admission ticket

🎟️Your ticket will include sarongs like all other spots so you can ignore the stores on your way in

🛕This is a very small temple and once you cross through the mouth it’s only about 50 feet until you reach the back. There are three altars inside for worship & prayer and it’s very dark and small. We lucked out that it was raining because there was no one but us and one other group in the temple so we were able to spend more time and not feel crowded.

Driving to Uluwatu which was a little over 2 hours with traffic. Once checked into our hotel at Anantara Resort we fully intended on taking advantage of the pool and beautiful views.
