✏️I get to switch schools/classrooms every day

✏️I work ONLY during the contracted hours

✏️No lesson planning and minimal prepping

✏️No observations or evaluations

✏️NO MEETINGS 🤌🏻

✏️No after school hours to put in, conferences, or events

❌Cons:

📌Can have some really tough behavior students/classes

Let’s talk substitute teacher pay 💵💰

Districts pay anywhere from $100-$250 a day! I know substitute teachers are in demand right now and districts may be paying higher than they did years previously. The district I am teaching in is paying $50 more a day than when I was a substitute teacher for them 5 years ago! It’s totally worth looking into if you need a side gig (or main gig) to tide you over while looking for a new career or job.
