what I looked for in an engagement photographer 🐚

This engagement photoshoot was everything I could imagine and more! 📸

I was envisioning a really dreamy, peaceful beach shoot with movement and birds and texture. Something like that one scene in the notebook 🦢

When looking for a photographer to shoot these photos, and more importantly our wedding in a few months, there were a few things I was looking for to find one who matched my same vision and aesthetic:

• her photos are more so individual works of art rather than just a posed snapshot

• her candid style really captures us living in the moment rather than stopping for the camera

• her editing style is very warm and soft but still with some texture and movement

• the movement she includes in the photos really conveys the energy of the moments as well

• she uses film cameras to create images with a vintage look I LOVE!

• when initially speaking to her on the phone she was so kind and we discussed what vibes and aesthetics I was looking for and that she felt she provided to make sure we were a good match

I love the way these photos turned out and absolutely cannot wait to see what she does with our wedding photos! 🕊️
