Secret Waterfall in Raleigh, NC

You might not think the bustling city of Raleigh would be home to a waterfall like this, and that’s bc it’s a little known tucked away spot. Located just inside of 440 near North Hills is Lassiter Mill Park, a man made waterfall dam.

There’s free parking and the park is open from 7:00-9:00. Make sure to use the bathroom and fill up on water before you go, as there are no water fountains or public restrooms. There’s lots of space in the sand for picnicking by the water, but I would recommend a waterproof picnic blanket to stay dry!
