Cheep or free summer activities

Summer is full of warm weather and adventures. It is absolutely our busiest time of year. Every weekend in the summer we have plans; however we are also on a budget so here are 4 cheap or free things we enjoy doing in the summer.

1. Go for a walk- Make this an adventure grab your best friend, dog or significant other and discover a new park or hiking spot.

2. Arrange fresh flowers- weather you pick the flowers yourself or go to a local farm stand and get them try your hand at arranging a beautiful summer bouquet. I personally like to get my flowers from local farm stands. There’s just something about it that I find so cozy.

3. Make a cool treat- on hot summer days it’s so nice to have something refreshing for you and your pet. I love to make my dog these frozen lick bowls for hot summer days. You could also make homemade popsicles or pupsicles with left over fruit.

4. Visit as many local street fairs as possible. We love going to street fairs admission is usually free or very reasonable and as long as you don’t buy a ton of things it’s a great way to get out of the house in the summer. I usually just get a bag of fried Oreos and a lemonade and window shop the different vendors. It’s also a plus that our dog can come too.

So make this summer one to remember without braking the bank.
