The biggest increases in pay I have gotten have always been when I switch jobs. For context, I work in tech as a Data Scientist, so I can switch jobs more frequently than other industries, but negotiating your job offers is important no matter what industry you are in!

To negotiate your salary, search the internet to understand what other similar roles offer. You can use websites like Glassdoor or Linkedin to see what salary ranges are offered for similar roles, or apps like FishBowl or Blind to read what other people at that company anonymously share they are being paid.
