How did we design our DB Box Cupboard ? 🌝

When it comes to my interior designer, every detail matters to her. Even the most utilitarian elements of the BTO, like the ugly looking DB box cupboard, can contribute to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the overall living space.

Hence we definitely discuss on how we should design our DB Box cupboard during our renovation process 😅

1️⃣ Harmonizing Colors:

The first step in designing my DB box cupboard was to ensure that it seamlessly integrated with the existing theme of my home. We chose to paint the cupboard in accordance with the color scheme of my living room walls. By using the same paint color, I achieved a cohesive look that tied the different elements of the room together. This attention to detail created a sense of continuity and visual harmony that enhanced the overall ambiance of the space.

2️⃣ "Push-to-Open" Mechanism:

Gone are the days of traditional handles and knobs on cupboard doors. I opted for a modern and minimalist approach by installing a "push-to-open" mechanism for the cupboard door. This not only added a touch of sophistication to the design but also eliminated the need for protruding handles that could disrupt the clean lines of the cupboard.

3️⃣ Maximizing Space with Built-in Shelves:

Storage is a precious commodity in my home, and my DB box cupboard was no exception. To make the most of the available space, I requested my carpenter to build in a set of shelves beneath the DB box. This provided me with additional storage space that could be used to keep shoes, small household items, etc. Some people would use this to keep their Dyson - and if you are doing so, then don’t build in any shelves ☺️
