ELECTRICAL PLANNING - TYPES OF SWITCHES! 🔌💡

When I was planning my electrical sockets around my house, my ID was asking “single or double” and to be honest, I was a bit confused when she first asked that question 😅

So I thought some visual help to what other the various types of switches that you can consider would help you guys plan ahead! ✨

1️⃣ Single outlet switch: I mean this doesn’t need any explanation. 😂

‼️ But, I thought it will be a good opportunity to flag out the 2nd picture with the single outlet socket that is “boxed up”. As it was placed on a carpentry, it needs to be “boxed” to conceal the wiring.

So keep this in mind when you are planning to put switches in your cabinets, or even your kitchen island.

2️⃣ Double outlet switch: I feel like you will definitely need way more of the double ones than the single ones! 😊 My friends who own apartments also highly recommend to get more of these!

3️⃣ Double socket with USB A and USB C. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

(Whenever I go to a hotel and it has such an outlet, it makes me happy 🤓 )

Plus, there are so many devices nowadays that uses USB C, so it might be worth including this in the socket! (You know how fast technology evolves, what if USB A becomes redundant one day 🥲)

💡 There is also those power track system that it’s becoming really popular now. NGL was very tempted to get it, but I realised that it’s so expensive for one strip 🥺 , so I decided against it. (I’ll just get more double outlets 😅)

But I agree it’s pretty sleek and you can definitely consider if you are , for instance, gonna have a lot of kitchen appliances!
