Was the Crate & Barrel warehouse sale worth it ? 🫣

The famous “Crate & Barrel” had a household items warehouse sale earlier this year , and we decided to go for it to see if we could snatch any good deals.

And perhaps to see if it’s worth going for the next one in the future? (Understand they do this pretty often now!)

Do note that they usually do it over 2-3 weekends and items are being replenished frequently throughout the sale period.

My thoughts on the sale:

⚫️ Crate & Barrel is a renowned home and furniture retailer, so even if the items are on sale, it still won’t be as “cheap”, some people might still find it expensive. So you need to know what your budget is when it comes to household items. Like for example, a plain grey plate was going for $20.95, some may argue they can find this in taobao for perhaps one fifth the price (including shipping!).

⚫️ I bought many wine glasses because for the quality, I find that to be very reasonably priced! My sister has a few IKEA wine glasses and she could immediately tell the difference in quality.

⚫️ They were also selling furnitures that are defective, like stained sofa, and hence, dropped their normal selling price significantly. Depending on your budget, and your willingness to hunt for a good sofa cleaning company/DIY cleaning agent, you can consider buying their defective furnitures at a much cheaper price!

⚫️ There were many other decorative items for sale but I still find it expensive to buy them. I think I have been spoilt rotten by Taobao 🥲

Verdict: I probably won’t go to one again, unless I am feeling rich 😅 or I need to get some good quality wine glasses!
