Summer Nail Inspo: Orange Slice DIY Nail Art

Summer is in full swing & these orange slice nails are bringing all the summery vibes 🍊

I have to be honest, I was a little intimidated by this design. The inspo I’ve seen can get really detailed, so I was happy that my not so artsy self was able to create something that even remotely resembled orange slices haha. Here’s my quick tutorial:

1. Start by painting a half circle in a corner of your nail. I used a liner brush for this.

2. Fill in the circle & cure if using gel polish.

3. Draw another half circle in white close to the edge of the orange.

4. This is where it gets a little trickier. Paint the “slice” lines towards the edge of your nail. To make it more realistic, you’ll want to blur the end that touches the “rind.”

After you’re happy with how the orange slice looks, cute, add too coat & cure again. That’s it! I only added the oranges to a couple nails for more of a minimal look and I think they turned out so cute!
