I got to watch my mom graduate 👩‍🎓🥰

Today I got to see my mom cross the stage and get her Masters degree. She is one of the strongest most head strong people I know. As a college student myself, knowing the struggle of trying to keep up with school, work and life I can’t imagine how my mom made it work with 2 jobs, a marriage, children, and a personal life. She has been my support, role model and hero my entire life and to see her make all of these accomplishments is a different level of proud. She is the person i aspire to be.

To my mom,

You came from nothing and made something of yourself. You’ve had everyone pushing you down and telling you that you can’t do half of the things you’ve done. simply for the fact that you were a single mother. “I’m going to get us a house for you to grow up in” you did that. “i’m going to make sure you can go to college.” you did that. “i’m going for my First Sargent position.” you did that. everything you put your mind to you’ve done. with all of the struggles and people degrading you you came out better and stronger. you did it and you continue to do it. I’m so proud of you and to call you my mother. I love you🫶🏽
