why cleansing balm does not work for everybody 💔

tiktok has been hyping up cleansing balms so i decided to hop on the trend & grab one from beauty of joseon

i used it for around 1 month and realised that my face has gotten tiny little bumps on my forehead and under my eyes, my face also became super dry and started flaking but i thought that i was just on my period and continued using the cleansing balm and nothing got better😨😨

i started researching on cleansing balms and understood that it was not suitable for my skin, most cleansing balm that’s formulated without mineral oils, tend to cause breakouts! some balms contain natural oils that are comedogenic and when not cleaned well, they can clog pores and lead to inflammation and infections😟 so please do check your ingredients!

everyone's face is different and if you feel like something about your skincare is wrong, dont be scared to completely remove the skincare product away from your routine! if your routine is working well for you, try your best not to switch items!

if you do need to double cleanse, a cotton pad soaked with micellar water does the job well! for waterproof make up like mascara, use a small amount of cleansing oil on the area, not your whole face!

how to figure out what is causing breakouts?

• use new skincare one at a time, do not use 3 new products at a time, if you break out from the products, you wont be able to know which product broke you out! use new products one at a time for at least a week before adding a new product in!

(also please search up if the product purges, if it purges, wait for a little longer to see if the break out calms down before addinf a new item into your routine)
