Read this before you visit Under de Linden 💐

I had high hopes for this place because of how beautiful it looked but it didn’t hit the mark for me. Here’s why.

ps before anything, I just wanted to give the ambience a 10/10 because it really is so pretty and you will have A LOT of photo opps at the cafe. If you’re someone who loves flowers, you should definitely check this place out. They have an in-house florist as well!

🍹Drinks

We ordered an oat and hojicha latte. I liked how it was presented with a rose and that they let us pour in the shot on our own. I thought that was pretty fun (to let me be a “barista” for a day). That said, both drinks felt dilute to me. It might be because of the oat milk they used, it wasn’t creamy or substantial enough to call it a good latte..? So I rate both of them a 2/5 🥲

Charcoal french toast 3.5/5

This was pretty good. The flavours were well balanced and complimented each other. They were a lil pricey tho. About $22 for bread? Not sure if that was worth it.

Breakfast platter 1/5

NO THIS WAS NOT IT. All the items on the plate felt lackluster in terms of taste (think 3star hotel breakfast buffets) and it felt like they did not care with the plating. The salmon didn’t taste fresh too which made me feel a little queasy 🤢

This is honestly the first time I’m ever upset at food cos I’m someone who’s pretty okay with eating anything, but this really was disappointing. At least they have a pretty cafe..? (‘:

Oh and getting to the cafe was another issue. There’s only one bus in so your best bet is to either grab or drive in. Hope this helps!!
