1 year post op after having large fibroids removed

Today VS Last year 2023 on this day…

I’m pretty private about my personal life but the happiness I’m feeling after the work out I just finished! Last year I had robotic fibroid surgery (Robotic-assisted myomectomy) where they removed two 11cm fibroids through 6 incisions in my abdomen area and my belly button and during that surgery things took a turn for the worst. My mother and hunnie rushed back to the hospital, by the grace of God my doctor completed the surgery and the road to recovery started.

I could barely walk! My love and appreciation for my Mother and Hunnie is forever because these two stayed with me every second and pushed me to get up, fed me, set timers for me take my pain medications through out the night, forced me to walk when I surely didn’t want to or feel like I could, oiled my incisions, etc. The calls and get well gifts from friends and family were heartfelt as well.

So much can change in 365 days! Let’s bask in all the happiness of life.
