CoHo Books & What I Rated Them

These were the first 3 books I read by Colleen Hoover, and also the first 3 books I read that got me back into reading a couple of years ago. I feel like I’ve grown and changed a lot as a reader since then, but these will all always be pretty special to me. 🫶🏻

Ugly Love: I loved this book! It’s frustrating, heartbreaking, heartwarming, funny, all of the things!! I loved the dual timelines and POVs. Would recommend if you want to sob. 🥲

November 9: THIS BOOK!! I understand a lot of people’s criticisms of it, but I just can’t help it. I devoured it. I love the concept of each character working on themselves, their careers, and their own growth while agreeing to meet up and catch up every year. I had so much anticipation going into each next year. This was one of my first CoHo books, so I didn’t know yet that she likes to incorporate big plot twists into her romance novels, and I wasn’t expecting anything like it at all! Will make you laugh, swoon, cry, scream, all that stuff.

All Your Perfects: This was my first Colleen Hoover book and I have such a personal connection to it. It’s about a couple who meets because their significant others were cheating on them with each other. It’s told in alternating timelines between when their relationship started, and after they’ve been married several years and are struggling with infertility. As a woman who has also struggled with this and has seen what it can do to a marriage, I thought this was a heartbreaking, real, and raw romance. I loved reading about a couple fighting hard for their marriage.
