Three Assassins Review!

So, it’s done. I finished this last night, savored those last few minutes as long as I could…

Look, I think this imagined criminal underworld is fantastic, if I’m being honest. I think the whole world, the characters, the plot all works out so well. I have really enjoyed reading them! (On the waitlist for The Mantis, based on the excerpt I read I have a feeling it is different but could have just been the part I read.)

I have seen, since reading these books, that this is the first in the series (aka Grasshopper?), which makes a lot of sense bc I had a feeling that one of the MC was also in Bullet Train, though they didn’t come out and say. Anyway, it was released in the US, at least, after Bullet Train. So, that’s why I read them in a different order. Regardless the story works out, and did just fine.

So, enough with the backstory. Book review!

You follow three “professionals” through a 24 hour setting and see how their lives intermingle, some for years and others for just the day. It is a very interesting setting, at times I found myself thinking, “man these ppl do a lot in one hour.” (Haha!)

The ending gave me a twist that I wasn’t expecting… At all. I have a couple different theories on it, if anyone who has read it would care to discuss, lmk.
