Let’s talk due dates v.s. Birthdays!!

My oldest was born a week before his due date… I had been having contractions in the hundreds for over a week but they couldn’t do anything because I wasn’t dilating and I wasn’t considered full term yet🥲 I was absolutely miserable but beyond thankful i was on summer break and didn’t have to worry about school or vo-tech in that moment. Even though he was early he was healthy and doctors kept talking about his huge hands and feet🥰 he actually shares his birthday with a very close family friend his dad grew up with and we got out in time to celebrate the fourth so it was a win win!!

My second was actually born like 2 hours after his due date via c-section… I went in for induction but it didn’t go as planned and I ended up running out of time to make a decision:/ i tried so badly to go vaginally but it was push now or go up for c section and I didn’t have the energy to push in that moment… he was born a chunky boy and we quickly found out the reason I couldn’t push him out wasn’t because he was in the wrong position but because he was WAY to big for me to push out and he couldn’t quite get in that perfect position 😆

Anyway what are your babies due dates v.s birthdays? Did you find that something helped eased the process or made it last longer which in turn changed the birthday by only a few minutes/hours? Share your story and let’s be friends!!
