If you’re heading to Korea soon, this day trip is a MUST!!! It’s a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, and you’ll return feeling super refreshed. I went last October, and can I just say, fall in Korea is BEAUTIFUL?! 😍🍁
I booked this experience via Klook, and it was amazinggg 🤩
For S$91.50,
✅ Private transportation to all the places
— It’s a 2 hour drive from Seoul, so it’s not the easiest to access by public transport… This was definitely convenient!
— Pick up from Hongdae Uni/ Myeongdong Station
— Save you the stress from planning the route. Just hop on the bus, take a nap and TADAH you’re at the destination!
✅ Tickets to Alpaca World
— Includes Alpaca coins, which you can exchange for food! (for the alpacas, not you 😝)
✅ Tickets to Gangchon Rail Park
— 4-seater bike
— Inclusive of a train ride at the end!
✅ Ferry tickets to Nami Island - Round Trip
✅ English/Mandarin-speaking guide
— Haha don’t worry, it’s not the kind that will tell you boring-ass history stories on the bus for 2 hours and drag you to souvenir stores. 😂 They’re more like a chill chaperone, telling you what to expect, distributing tickets, giving recommendations/tips, etc.
✨What to expect✨
📍Pick-up locations
7.30am: Hongdae University Station
8.00am: Myeongdong Station
🚌 2 hour drive to Alpaca World
🥐 We got ourselves some snacks & coffee to have our breakfast on the go~ ☕️
10.00am: Alpaca World 🦙🏔️
— Got there just as the park opened! It’s kinda in the mountain-ish, so it was slightly cooler. ❄️ We were given some ‘paca coins’ to exchange for animal feed. You get to feed and interact with dozens of alpacas in the Alpaca Playground!
— This is apparently the largest animal farm in Korea! There’s 17 zones in the park, we got to see alpacas, goats, ponies, capybaras, fennec foxes, owls and more!
— Don’t forget to catch the alpaca show, it’s super cute! 🦙🎪
12.30pm: Lunch
— They brought us to some Dak Galbi (spicy stir-fried chicken) restaurant near the rail park - can’t remember the name of the place, but it was pretty decent! 🥘
2.00pm: Gangchon Rail Park 🛤️🚲
— Loved this experience too! Such picturesque views, taking in the sights and sounds of nature. 🏞️
— There’s a fixed trail, so you don’t have to manually manoeuvre the bike. It’s quite easy to pedal too, as most of the track is downhill.
— The total course of the rail bike is 8.5 kilometers long with 6 kilometers on rail bike and last 2.5 kilometers on a train.
4.00pm: Nami Island ⛴️🏝️
— Bus dropped us off at the ferry station, thereafter it was only a short 5 min ferry ride to Nami island.
— We just roamed around the island aimlessly, soaking up the romantic atmosphere and beautiful scenery, stopping to have some food at the lovely quaint cafes. 🍦☕️
— Felt that time here was a little too short… Even though the island’s pretty small, I feel that I could’ve easily spent half a day here!
6.30pm: 🚌 Back to Seoul~ (Journey back was slightly under 2 hours!)
Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: 4.5! (-0.5 cos toooo little time, sooo much to do!)
But all in all, I think it was totally worth it. For $90/pax, we had A LOT of fun on this day trip! If you’re in Korea, you must check it out! 🤗
