Recap of my first month living in Florida

A month ago today, I left my home state of Missouri and moved to the panhandle! My husband got orders to Hurlburt AFB and let me tell you, Florida is no joke!

👍Pros:

The BEACH! 🏖️ my little family and I love going to the beach! It’s fun and it’s F R E E, we love free things over here..😂

No more snow! ❄️ Coming from Missouri, I hated winter with a passion. The only place I like cold is my bedroom.

🤔Cons:

THE BUGS and THE CRITTERS!!! Chillleeee somebody should’ve warned me. I had a gecko in my laundry room the other day and I freaked OUT, i made my husband get it and take it outside. I also saw the biggest ROACH, I’ve ever seen. I guess they are called palm meadows? Whatever, a roach is a roach.

The HEAT/ Humidity. Baby it’s a different type of hot in the south, this kind of heat I’ve never been exposed too. My wardrobe was not prepared lol. All I wear is T-shirt and leggings since I’ve had my daughter.

EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE. Groceries are super expensive, hair care is super expensive. I guess that comes with the territory, maybe Missouri is just a cheap state?

Overall, I do like it here. I could see my little family and I settling down here when it’s time for the hubs to retire from the AF. 🙏🏾🩷
