A tip for those with SOCIAL ANXIETY

When it comes to social anxiety, I know there are many levels. Personally I get sick and tense.

However, I recently tried out something that worked wonders.

A list of goals for your specific event. Realistic goals.

I had to meet my boyfriend’s family and didn’t want to come off as shy and introverted. So in this situation, my goals were

- to ask what people did for a living - ask his aunt if i could hold the baby - compliment whoever made the food - and memorize at least 3 names

It helped me have stuff to do when I froze and had nothing to say. And it helped me feel good ablut about afterwards and not overthink every conversation
