Weekly Reading Update ✨📚

Hey everyone! Here’s my first reading weekly update! 😁⭐️

📖 If He Had Been With Me by Laura Nowlin:

I started this book last weekend and finished it on Monday. So this is the third modern romance book that I’ve read this year and I’ve enjoyed it so much. I loved romance when I was a teen, but for some reason I fell out of love with it as an adult. But now. I’ve fallen back in love with romance books after reading Happy Place and Highly Suspicious & Unfairly Cute! I also love annotating now after hating it for years lol.

I recently found out that a lot of people hate this book, but this book is a hill that I will PROUDLY die on.

📖 The Subtle Art of Not Giving a… by Mark Manson

I don’t always read self-help books but I do enjoy them every once in a while! This book has been recommended to me several times by several people for several years. But my dear friend @Paige Victoria lent me her copy this week, and I devoured it due to not being able to sleep on Monday night. There were so many things in there that I absolutely NEEDED. It was very insightful. I think he milked the phrase “give a f***” a little, but I’m glad he was really selling his points at least.

📖The Iliad by Homer

I’ll have to come back to this one. It’s a great story, but unfortunately a LOONNNG story. I guess I don’t have the best attention span, but I will come back to this story. I’m not throwing it out, don’t worry! I’ll explain my thoughts about it so far when I make my reading vlog on YouTube.

📖The Odyssey by Homer

My high school English teacher gave my class the Sparknotes version back then, but I’ve always wanted to read it for myself. I’m enjoying this a LOT more than the Iliad. I haven’t finished yet, but I enjoy this story more. I can’t wait to finish it!
