Living with ADHD is hard enough but add running a business and being a mom and wife to that and life just gets crazy. I would spend days spiraling, starting a million tasks and never finishing them. Finally I realized I needed a system and reminders everywhere.
❶ Here is an example of how I remember to do my skincare routine
I have a list of what to do for my AM and PM routines
Each day has a different weekly step like my gua sha messages or turmeric face mask
I keep both lists on the wall by my mirror in the bathroom
❷ For remerebing all my weekly goals or important meetings I use a weekly organizer.
My top three goals that have to be done before Friday are written in bold on the left.
Then all my other tasks that I hope to get done go on the to-do list
under each day of the week I’ll put any meetings or deadlines
Plus I’ll write down what I want to make for dinner
I keep this list on the fridge and the reason for that is I tend to procrastinate by eating/looking in the fridge
seeing my list there reminds me to stay on track and keeps me focus.
❸ on Sundays I set an alarm for noon and give myself an hour to rewrite my goals for the next week and reset
Life hacks can be essential for creating balance and what works for me might not work for everyone
but I encourage you to try it out and tweak it as you need.
