We thought HE WAS A SHE!!

Hi Lemon 🍋! Just wanted to share this shocking story.

Just for context we first had two Guinea pigs, Pocha(mom), Gyaru(dad) we have done sufficient research before adopting both of them from our mother’s friend.

We were still learning along the way so we were really surprised when a third Guinea pig just popped out whole. We knew it gave birth as a whole but he was so big when he came out. We were not even aware that she was pregnant💀

After he was born, we named him “Luna” and we have had him since 2 months ago. We only found out yesterday that … HE WAS A MALE.

This whole time my father was calling her “little princess” while combing her hair and we were all calling her that too.

One day, he started fighting with the dad and we thought that maybe he( who we thought was a she) was just over protective of the mother. We decided to separate him and his father, we left Luna with his mother because he would cry when we seperated them.

FYI, my older sister checked his genital parts and was confirmed he was a female.

Yesterday, while she was cutting their nails she realised that he had …Testicles and we were so shocked.. we have been calling HIM a ‘HER’. It made so much sense why he was fighting with his dad, it was to show dominance.

So in the end, we changed his name to Luca 🥲

Anyways just a funny story of how we found out. Do let me know any tips on how to take care of them !!🙌❤️ we are trying our best.
