Hello my fellow unsqueezed lemons.

I recently went to Korea on winter exchange to Yonsei University for about 3 weeks and loveedddd it. It was my first time travelling all by myself to a foreign country so I was intially scared af. But this trip opened my eyes to the joys of solo travelling....legit I have never been this much at peace.

So guess who is going back again this coming winter?! :)))))

Here are some quick snippets of my little adventure along with some tips just in case u didnt know.

🌎Location/Country: Korea (The one without nukes)

⭐️ Prepping

1. SIM card

I purchased an E-Sim($30ish?) about a month before flying and activated it in Changi Airport before my flight so that I could get data immediately upon touch down.

2. Mosturiser/Skincare shidizzle

Yo mosturiser is a must fr in that dry ass country unless you want your skin to be an crinkly as my Ah ma's. Other skincare I brought was just cleanser and a bottle of serum. But there is always the option to go to Olive Young to stock up on some of that divine Korean brand skincare.

3. Apps to download (Slide 2)

Navermaps and Kakaomaps for navigation (The apps dont really understand typed english sometimes so what I did was to type the address of the place I wanted to go in google and copy paste the KOREAN ADDRESS into naver)

KakaoTaxi. I heard is cheap af there compared to Grab (Booo👎 to Grab).

Papago for translation cause not many Koreans speak English so sometimes got language barrier

KakaoTalk to make friends/Join interest groups/communicate with any Korean friends.

⭐️ Random Tips and Stuff

1. Humidifier

So if you suffer from sinus🤧🤧🤧 like me, Korea will be lowkey hell for you if you don't know what to do. I found out the hard way when I started having sore throats, leaky nose and coughing up blood🩸.

Problem? Cold and Dry ass air. Solution? Humidify your room before u sleep. Since I aint crazy enough(I'm just broke) to buy a humidifier to plop into my dorm, I filled up an empty trash can with hot water every night and plopped it next to my bed. Yay to budget humidifier 😉😉🤣🤣

2. Stay away from crazy

You know that saying "Don't stick your dick in crazy"? Yea some principle applies here. Meeting them is as rare as finding Evee in pokemon, but crazy ass people do exist. You can occasionally find them in the subway, dark alleyways and sketchy neighbourhoods. Don't risk it guys....if one5 ever approach you, just keep walking and don't make eye contact with them (Same as dealing with wild animals)🐻🐻‍❄🐯🦁.

3. Public Transport is your best friend.

T money card, Navermaps and the spirit of adventure. Boom you'll be making Korea your bitch in no time. 😊😊😊

So yea I don't wanna keep yapping cuz my fingers are getting tired. So lemme know if you want another post on places to go, how to travel around using naver or if u have any other qns.
