INGREDIENTS:

- 5 fresh peaches (about 4 cups), sliced

- 1/2 cup white sugar

- 1/4 tsp salt

Batter:

- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 3/4 cup white sugar

- 2 tsp baking powder

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 3/4 cup milk

- ground cinnamon, generous dusting

- ground ginger, light dusting

- 6 tbsp butter

INSTRUCTIONS:

1️⃣ In a pan, cook peaches, sugar, and salt until sugar dissolves and juices release, then set aside.

2️⃣ Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, vanilla, and milk until combined.

3️⃣ Pour melted butter into a 9"x13" baking dish. Pour the batter over the melted butter, but do not stir. Spoon the peaches and its juice over the batter. Sprinkle with a generous dusting of cinnamon and a light dusting of ground ginger.

4️⃣ Bake at 375°F for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
