it’s your wedding day, just do whatever you want that is within your budget so you don’t have any regrets 🫶🏻

there are many things i wish i could have included in my wedding (like photo booth/voice message booth) or done things differently (book a venue that allows longer stay) but as a couple, you’d naturally have to discuss your priorities and finances together

for us, we wanted to set aside more funds for our honeymoon and home :’)

so here’s how we’ve done ours!

1️⃣ Venue ($3,434)

• we booked a church hall for 2.5hours and the fees are inclusive of love gift for their church volunteers who helped with our AVL.

• we also booked an additional room for 1hour for tea ceremony before the solemnisation

2️⃣ Buffet Lunch ($5,113)

• our buffet was catered from Manna Pot Catering for 200pax and we also ordered additional dessert table from their sister brand Divine Artisan for 100pax

• i wasn’t sure if i didn’t ordered enough or that the food was too good, because when i went down to the dining hall, all the food were almost cleared (especially the desserts🫢)

• so i didn’t get to try them (oh my fruit tarts ☹️) but all of the guests i asked for feedback said that the food was good 😋

3️⃣ Photography & Videography

these two are important to me because we are people who don’t usually take photos/videos. thus, having these memories being captured for us meant a lot

📸: Before Dawn ($1,800 for 8hrs)

• we are awkward people in front of cameras but Bennett was really nice and professional

• we loved that he also helped to capture so many candid shots and images of our loved ones so that we can look back on moments we have missed as well

• highlight: i tripped on my dress and almost fell during march in and Bennett also happened to capture that which I LOVED LOL

🎥: 48kg Production ($2,080 for 7hrs)

• i knew i wanted to engage Chong Hua the moment his IG profile landed on my page

• CH was fun and comical, making the the shoot enjoyable as well. very professional too 👍🏿

4️⃣ Wardrobe ($2,673)

this includes:

• HJ’s tailored suit ($1.1k)

• my dad’s tailored suit ($700)

• my wedding gown

• bridesmaids and groomsmen outfits ($175)

• HJ’s + dad’s shoes

• my shoes ($22 from TB)

• veil

• boutonnières

• all the men’s ties

5️⃣ Wedding Favours ($1,378)

6️⃣ Decor ($1,240)

7️⃣ Pre-wed shoot ($927)

• we DIY-ed our own pre-wedding shoot with my sister as the photographer so i just rented the camera equipment and bought all our outfits and props from Taobao

8️⃣ Ang Baos ($2,590)

• disclaimer that this is not including GDL

• we just prepped for all our helpers and vendors as an appreciation and for tea ceremony as well

9️⃣ Gifts ($620)

• gifts for our bridal party

• mom and i also prepped goodie bags for the kids attending our wedding and it was absolute fun shopping for them!

• we also got flower bouquets for our moms and a customised gift for my dad as gift appreciations on our AD

🔟 Misc

⚪️ AD breakfast ($290)

we ordered breakfast sets from Swee Choon for all our helpers because they had to report early and we wouldn’t want them to go hungry throughout the ceremony

⚪️ Buffet Dinner ($2,900)

as we didn’t have a banquet, we organised a small buffet dinner gathering at a hotel for our close family and bridal party

also because the husband and i love buffets 🤭

⚪️ Wedding Magazine ($180)

• printed 20 copies of our wedding magazine/booklet

• will share more details in another post!

⚪️ GDL ($600)

• how much you spend really depends on your family

• the cost here is for the mini catering we ordered for our extended family on that day when they came to pick up the cakes 🤣

• catering was from Manna Pot Catering as well, delicious 🤤
