Can anyone tell me why my hands do this?

So sometimes my hands get all red and blotchy. And when this happens, they can also get really hot. I don’t know why this happens. The only thing I do know, is that it usually happens when I’m sick. It started appearing a year ago, when I had Strep throat last summer. But it even appears during minor illnesses. I’ve just been having a sore throat, but I know for certain it isn’t strep. I’m really confused and not sure if there is an explanation or not. Above are some pictures I’ve taken throughout the day. Sometimes it’s a bit more red. Please share if you know anything about this.
