TLDR: Chill backyard vibes worth the visit with good food and coffee. Space can get pretty crowded so be sure to go early or to visit at less busy off peak timings. I did work in the cafe for about 5 hours and was not chased away. The wifi speed is also not bad hahaha

Hey zesties! Happy weekend! Not sure what to have this weekend for a nice brunch catch up? Recently my area around Potong Pasir has been birthing many new cafes and they have been sprouting up all over. I went for a nice breakfast brunch at Folkyard at poiz centre, just outside the mrt and here’s my experience.

Folkyard is a cozy little cafe that serves pretty good sandwiches and coffee. With an interior that screams chill camp vibes. It is dressed aesthetically in minimalist style with quirky pieces such as a cheeky little rug that reads don’t fuck up the Feng shui. It’s definitely a great spot for you to hangout #withyourbesties

Like the design of the cafe, the menu is also lean and simple but done well. The menu consists of sandwiches like the Breakfast Sandwich ($14), Patty Melt ($16), Grilled Cheese ($14), Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich ($15), and Cold Cut Sandwich ($16). You can also add-on sides which are priced at $6 each ($10 for bigger version), like French Fries, Onion Rings, Sweet Potato Fries and Fried Brussels Sprouts. They also offer up rustic self-baked goods like the Lemon Meringue Tart, ($7), PB&C Brownie ($5), Banana Bread ($6), and more.

Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I ordered the buttermilk fried sandwich which was really good. I believe even the bread they use is baked in house. The sandwich was a delectable mix of textures with the crunch of saladslaw, the juicy chicken and the soft buttery bread. It’s a 4/5 for me !

Ice Black Coffee ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The ice black coffee was a basic done surprisingly well. They also roast their coffee in hose which is always a plus. A solid 4/5 for me too!

Lemon Meringue Tart ⭐️⭐️⭐️

We ended off with their daily special which was the lemon meringue tart. I was satisfied but wasn’t really impressed with the tart and thought it could be better. It’s a 3.5/5 for me. The tart just tasted pretty mid sadly.
