Why I miss Singapore’s disgusting humidity…🥺☹️

Why Singapore’s humidity CAN be good….

So I’ve lived most of my life in a tropical country & I’ve become accustomed to the weather.

I’ve always complained about how hot & humid it is but when I go to other temperate countries, I start to appreciate the humidity in Singapore.

In Singapore, we don’t have to worry about winter clothes, snow tyres, getting trapped in your house because of the snow. Snow looks nice when it’s fresh, but when it turns to ice or becomes black, it’s not as fun!

I’ve slipped and fallen down a hill before when it was winter because of how slippery the roads were due to the ice.

We don’t have to wear winter clothes or worry about freezing, I’ve gotten sick because I didn’t have the appropriate clothes. I ended up getting hospitalised too because of the cold weather.

One habit for me is that I always wash my hands because I’m worried about germs. In Singapore I don’t really moisturise my hands because we don’t need it.

I also take multiple showers a day in Singapore because we always sweat and it just feels good to keep showering. LOL. (At least 6 showers a day - if I’m at home)

I’ve been coming to Australia frequently lately and one thing I’ve noticed is that the air is so dry here and my skin can’t take it.

I still keep my habits of multiple showers & handwashing a day, and my skin has been SO DRY.

My skin has been dry, cracking & bleeding because of how dry it is. It actually looks like a grandma’s hands right now because of how wrinkled it is.

It’s so painful and right now I have to keep spamming lotion each time after I wash my hands / shower.

So in times like these I really appreciate Singapore’s humidity LOL. Please moisturise when you’re in temperate climates.
