Guys don’t actually WANT to be your friend. 😐💭😒

I don’t trust guys to be friends.

Honestly now this is just my personal opinion. But I genuinely don’t have any guy friends. 😂

One reason is because I came from a girls school and even after I entered JC, I only befriended girls.

Guys will never be your friend. They just want to date you. This is what has happened to me multiple times.

Many times I’ve considered the few males I’ve met as friends but I didn’t know they were trying to make a move on me.

They were either waiting for me to be single for them to make their move by confessing their undying love for me.

This isn’t about the, “oh girls don’t like nice guys like me” sentiment that some of these men have.

If you’re only being nice to someone to coerce them into dating you, YOU ARE NOT NICE.

Some of them like to feel sorry for themselves too and go on some self deprecating act. I really hate it.

The most recent incident for me was, I’ve been friends with this guy on facebook for a while and we had mutual friends.

He told me he had 7 cats. And as someone who loves and adores animals. I was like omg yes I want to see the cats.

So I went to his house and the entire time I was just playing with the cats. He made a comment that made me REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE.

“Oh, you’re here really to just play with the cats,”

…. Yeah? What else would I be here for?

“I’ve always used that as a way to get girls to come over so we can have sex.”

I immediately went silent and just left after 5 minutes. Do you know how stupid I felt as I was driving home? I’ve stopped talking to this person, but they still occasionally like my posts and stuff but uGH, I feel so ANNOYED.

Has this ever happened to you?

This is just the most recent case but there were multiple in the past… after they tell me they like me and want to date me - I genuinely don’t know how to react.

I usually stop talking to them because I want to give them a chance to move on. How can you even continue with a friendship after that? It’s too weird for me.
