my morning "routine" as someone with adhd does not look the same everyday. i do whichever routine matches my energy levels, or things I have planned for that day.
ADDITIONAL TIPS/ WHAT I DO TO KEEP MYSELF IN CHECK:
🧠 be forgiving toward myself. if I forget to do something that is fine. i will live to see another day.
🧠 extra 10 min alarm! I set an alarm 10 mins before I need to leave and the actual time I need to leave. there is always something I forgot earlier.
🧠 constantly checking the time. time blindness is so real for me and I hate losing track!
🧠 pre-planning. the night before, I will try to lay out or at least have an idea of what I want to wear and eat tomorrow morning.
🧠 not scrolling/ only scrolling on pinterest. I don't know why exactly this helps but it does. it's very hard to not scroll the first thing in the morning.
🧠 keep my area clean. if I have downtime, I'll start putting things away. messy = stressy.
🧠BREAKFAST! I become so impulsive and cranky when I haven't ate. it is absolutely a huge priority that I eat in the morning.
