rest days are extremely important, but sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in our goals and want to skip the rest. it’s so important that we implement AT LEAST 1-2 rest days per week!

1. you make be doing more harm than good. while you may think that skipping your rest day will get you to your goals faster, it actually has the opposite effect. remember, our muscles get broken down during exercise, and we need our rest days to repair them! Rest days, we fall into a cycle of creating tears and trauma to our muscles that were not able to recover from, therefore placing us further away from our goals.

2. Rest days are also important, not just physically, but also mentally and physiologically. Our central nervous systems and minds need a break too!

3. Exercising too much and not taking proper recovery time can lead to depleted energy levels, not just during our workouts, but also in our day-to-day lives.

4. Fitness is a great hobby to get into, but it’s important to make time for other hobbies or activities that interest us! rest day is give us the time to be able to do that.
