BRINGING THE 😢 OUT 😳😳😳 time for some TRUTHS 🥵🥵🥵🥵 we all love tea right 🧋 so here are some of my #realtalk on being a petite model!

SOME BACKGROUND!

i am a freelance / part-time agency-tied model & here are my body measurements!

HEIGHT: 163cm

WEIGHT: 43.5kg

WAIST: 25-26”

SHOE SIZE: Eu37(heels) 38 (sneakers/boots)

i’ve been modelling for a good few years now, and it started out for fun but it then became something more serious as people & brands start to enquire!

TRUTH BE TOLD:

i DID NOT expect much from just playing around with poses, but it has always intrigued me 🫣

and VERY FRANKLY, i saw this Tiktok that said “don’t call yourself a model unless you’re on Vogue” … that honestly killed me. 😢 but anyways, i’ll just exclaim that i’m ~ here for fun! ~

HOW MUCH I USUALLY CHARGE FOR SHOOTS:

$80-150/hr

and i only take up ones i’m comfortable with, because many a times, i’ve received requests that were way too outside my comfort spot, which i’m not too keen to venture into 🫠

INDUSTRY STANDARDS:

most modelling agencies recruit girls of height 168cm and above, which i will obviously never reach considering how i’m already turning 20 this year 😓 but that’s alright… i’ll think positive, and maybe in some time, i’ll have opportunities, some how!

PEOPLE CALLED ME A CATFISH BECAUSE OF MY HEIGHT:

i think backhanded comments such as “you look taller in pictures”, “your angles are amazing considering your height” do hurt me from time to time :-/ and usually these remarks are ones that drag my confidence back down to rock bottom 😫 truly humbling but yet again, in life, we can’t be perfect… i’m tiny & petite, and sometimes, i love myself for it 🥰

so, if you’re on the shorter side, or u’ve got bodily measurements that do not meet industry standards, WHO CARES? You do you, and i promise, things will fall into place. 🤍
