My Bintan Island Escape ๐ด
Hey there, wanderlusters! โ๏ธ I recently went on a trip to Bintan, and let me tell you, it's a destination that stole my heart!๐ Should Bintan be on your travel radar? Let's dive into it! ๐
For context, I went on this trip with my bf to celebrate our anniversary! (side note: Anmon was so nice to decorate the place for us๐ฅน)
๐๏ธ 3D2N Itinerary for Bintan Island
โบ๏ธ Accommodation booked via Trip.com: ANMON - Desert Themed Glamping Resort
๐ฐ Price: SGD 375.56/2 pax (including breakfast)
๐ฅ๏ธ Ferry: Bintan Ferries Resort
๐ฐ Price: SGD 95/pax
โญ๏ธ Day 1:
We hopped on the earliest (9 am) ferry, left our luggage at the front desk (Anmon provides free transfer - just WhatsApp them your arrival timing in advance), and zoomed to Treasure Bay on a buggy. (Entrance to Treasure Bay is free for hotel guests of Anmon - get your wristband from the front desk) Scooter rental? Check! โ๏ธ
Hungry, we dined at The Compass Rose (in Anmon) and enjoyed two pasta dishes with juices and a side (which was quite overpriced)
After our meal, we checked into our room, relaxed, freshened up, and hit the pool at Treasure Bay to catch the sunset ๐ Then, headed to Kelong Mangrove Restaurant for dinner.
Dinner adventure: Book at the front desk. It's a 3-5 mins drive, followed by a 3-mins speedboat ride to the restaurant on water (the transfer is hassle-free and cost-free ๐คฉ) Dinner was SO GOOD (the driver was so nice to stop by a shop for us to grab some stuff), and after that, we cruised back and called it a wrap for Day 1! ๐ด๐๐ค๐ฝโบ๏ธ
๐ฐ Damage for Day 1:
Scooter - IDR 900,000 till next day 6pm (bef 20% disc. for Anmon guests)
Lunch - Estimated IDR 700,000/2 pax
Dinner - IDR 1,400,000/2 pax
โญ๏ธ Day 2:
we kicked things off with a hearty breakfast. Fueling up for what lay ahead, we embarked on an exciting sand dunes and blue lake tour (more information here).
Upon our return, we dove into some thrilling activities like Cable Tubing and the Water Sports Park - IT WAS SO TIRING, climbing back up after falling into the water was so energy draining๐ญ We did Cable Skiing too! HIGHLY RECOMMEND โ if it's your first time, go for the 15 mins session for an adrenaline rush!
Following our water escapades, we returned our scooter ๐ต and buggy back for some downtime in our cozy tent while awaiting our BBQ feast. The staffs were so friendly and kind in helping set up the BBQ & introducing the food!
Pro tip: Book your BBQ in advance to get the timing that you want (we did it on the first day, and you can even book it via WhatsApp before your trip!)
And that's a wrap for our action-packed Day 2! ๐๐โโ๏ธ๐๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐
๐ฐ Damage for Day 2:
Blue lake & Sand dunes: SGD 25/pax
Cable Tube: IDR250,000/pax 7rounds (bef 20% disc. for Anmon guests)
Water Sports Park: IDR390,000/pax (bef 20% disc. for Anmon guests)
Cable Ski: IDR250,000/pax 15mins (bef 20% disc. for Anmon guests)
BBQ: IDR968,000/2 pax
โญ๏ธ Day 3:
We were determined to make the most of every moment, so we booked the latest (4pm) ferry home, allowing us some morning adventures!
Our day began with breakfast, followed by a return trip to Treasure Bay for another thrilling round of Cable Skiing! ๐คช
Once we'd had our fill of adrenaline, we made a reservation at Kelong Mangrove Restaurant for lunch.
Sadly, it was then time to pack our bags and bid farewell to beautiful Bintan. Until next time! ๐๐ด๐
๐ฐ Damage for Day 3:
Cable Ski: IDR250,000/pax 15mins (bef 20% disc. for Anmon guests)
Lunch: IDR900,000/2 pax
In a nutshell, our trip was nothing short of amazing, brimming with delectable food, positive vibes, and wonderful people. And, of course, I recommend The Anmon Resorts, the glamping experience was so fun, we can definitely hear our neighbours, but not enough to disturb us! There's a bar beside The Compass Rose that you can enjoy a drink with beach dating show vibes. Not to mention the easy access to treasure bay. Tbh you dont even need to leave the resort area other than for the Sand Dunes & Blue Lake!
If you're on the lookout for a quick getaway near Singapore with pretty aesthetics, I'll recommend giving Bintan a visit. It might not be the cheapest, but trust me, it's worth it! ๐ซถ๐ปโจ
โผ๏ธ Some handy tips:
Don't forget to pack some sunscreen & sunglasses โ you'll be soaking up the sun for extended periods! โ๏ธ
We visited from Wed to Fri, and as we waited for our transfer back to the terminal, we noticed a sizable group checking into the resort. So, if you can swing it, you might want to avoid the weekend rush! ๐ซง
Cashless payments are the way to go (highly recommended) I personally suggest using YouTrip, a travel card I've relied on for many of my trips. The exchange rates are quite reasonable, and it makes transaction a breeze! ๐ณ

Happy travels, folks! ๐๐ด๐ค๐ป
