always take fortune telling with a pinch of salt…😭

As CNY approaches, I’m sure most of us will start to see the 2024 Chinese Zodiac fortune predictions pop up at shopping malls 😂 which reminded me of an interesting fortune telling experience I had recently that I thought I’d share just for the lols!

Basically, my friend and I visited this said “highly accurate” fortune teller just purely out of curiosity (fyi I won’t be sharing the name of the fortune teller out of respect so please don’t ask!). I know that some people are also non-believers when it comes to fortune telling (and that’s completely fine!), but personally I don’t mind hearing & just taking it with a pinch of salt!

Anyways, my friend went ahead first and the fortune teller asked him for his details (ie date of birth, where he lived at, etc) and his went completely fine. But when it came to my turn, before I could even tell the fortune teller my details, he started pointing at my MOLES on my face 🫣 and without even asking for my details, he told me that I need to remove ALL of them ASAP 😳 Needless to say, I was stunned like a vegetable 🥦 because that was SO UNEXPECTED?! I was waiting for him to tell me about my fortune 😂

So of course, in my too-stunned-to-speak state I had to ask why - to which he said that my moles are deterring my career, wealth, relationship and everything in my life 🥲 AND okay I get that because if you search up face/mole reading, yes certain mole placements could mean certain things BUT HERE’S THE PART where it gets a little sketchy: as if it was like a SOP, he rummaged through his drawer and took out a name card saying that he knows of a clinic that could do mole removal for me and that I should go there ASAP to remove them. And it was at this point where I did feel a bit ??? and 🤔…because why did he pass me the name card out of a sudden? Do they partner up with different clinics too? 👀

I know that some people remove their moles for aesthetic purposes, but this is my first time hearing such a thing…after all, mole removal is a permanent process that you can’t undo plus the whole experience just made me feel hesitant if I should really trust the fortune teller 😅

So yes, fast forward today, I still have my moles (they are precious to me 🥹) but I’m also curious if anyone else also face the same thing as me? Or if you were in my situation, would you believe the fortune teller?
