back w more travel content! this time a harajuku shopping guide with allllll the coolest spots

i’ll be going through consignment stores first, then onto cool brands to check out and lastly some food reccos!

1. ragtag harajuku

ragtag is a super popular consignment store with lots of preloved designer goods selling at all sorrs of price ranges 💵 they carry both mens and womenswear as well as bags, shoes, and accessories. other than designer brands, they also have a general thrift section with super affordable pieces. my bf has previously purchased on ragtag via their website in the past, and he’s managed to score lots of unique pieces from brands like supreme and more. we also visited the shimokitazawa and shinjuku branches to check out what they had 👍🏻

‼️ pro tip: do take note that depending on which season you visit during, most stores switch up their merchandise display to reflect the season! we visited during winter so unfortunately i did not buy much clothing there 3

2. casanova vintage 💼

if you’re into rare louis vuitton pieces you absolutely cannot miss this spot! we bumped into the owner along the street and he led us to his store, they have unique pieces like the lv murakami designs, as well as the steven sprouse collab 🥹 there are even dior pieces from galliano’s era 😭 they also stock several designer brands like supreme, bathing ape, goyard, chanel, and many more. the curation runs more towards street style but it’s definitely worth a visit!

3. 2nd street

pretty similar to ragtag, 2nd street carries a wide variety of brands from fast fashion to bridge and to high end, with a mix of mens and womens. we ended up visiting almost every 2nd street brand in tokyo 💀 i did manage to get a long sleeved top from kith here for a pretty good price.

‼️ pro tip: it is required for all tourists in japan to carry their passports with them at all times. with that, do keep an eye out for TAX-FREE labels in stores to save 10% with a minimum spend of 5,000 yen 🛍

4. palace skateboards 🛹

the store interior is so cool omg. although palace doesn’t carry womenswear, i had a great time looking at the interior decor and looking at the skateboards displayed! of all things, my bf ended up getting a snow globe here LOL. worth the visit if you’re into street style!

5. MoMa design store omotesando

a design store by the museum of modern art in new york, this is more of a lifestyle store with home goods! this is a great place to get cool souvenirs for friends and family that are interested in art 🖼 they have homeware, ceramics, tech accessories, art prints, coffee table books, and moma merchandise like tote bags and umbrellas 🌂

6. stylenanda harajuku / 3ce💄

i’m sure all my girls are familiar with stylenanda! they have a store in harajuku which also stocks 3ce products

7. human made / blue bottle coffee

my bf is a big fan of human made and its founder nigo! he used to be at bathing ape but now ventured off to start his own brand. there’s also a blue bottle attached to the store, which is one of the most popular coffee chains in japan ☕️ my bf and i got a few homeware items, i got a heart ceramic tray which was a special christmas release 🎄 visit if you’re into street style :)

8. number sugar omotesando 🍭

number sugar specialises in artisanal caramel candy in several different flavours! the store layout is super minimal and ig-worthy, and this is a great spot to get gifts for your friends and family

9. marion crêpes 🥞

marion crêpes is one of the og spots in harajuku for crepes! they have a hugeeee variety of flavours and the service is great 👍🏻 the crêpe at the harajuku branch was really good as well! i had the same exact one at another branch which was not as soft :( do check this out hehe i really find that crepes are essential to a complete harajuku experience
