This book takes place during the late 1800s. You follow a female character named Audrey Rose. She is the daughter of a wealthy lord. She needs to become a proper lady for her household. But instead she sneaks of to her Uncles place to practice forensic medicine. Audrey is then dragged into investigating a murder mystery. Someone has been cutting up prostitutes and taking their organs. Audrey won't stop until she finds out who is causing all these deaths.

I was amazed by this authors writing. This is the first book I'm reading by this author and I honestly couldn't put it down. I was amazed by the details and she used information from the real Jack the Ripper case to write this story. I can't wait to pick up the next book.
