TUFTING IN JB FOR <$60???? 🧶🖼️✂️

have you ever thought of trying out tufting in sg but its way too expensive and not worth the price??? cuz SAME. soooo i scoured through lemon8 and came across some tufting places in JB and this one specifically caught my eye👀 and that is Tufting Nuts! the rug tufting workshop for 2 was 398RM. (50x50 frame) if u do the math its only about 50+SGD🫢

BEFORE GOING:

📅 Do book a slot in advance

🦊 Have a design in mind and find reference pictures on pinterest etc.

😬 Be realistic, you only have 3hrs to tuft so choose designs that are not overly complicated especially if this is your first time tufting! (altho they do help you if you cant finish within the 3hours BUT! it feels better to complete your work by yourself)

🫂 Dont expect your rugs to be perfect! Just know that the imperfections is what makes your work unique!

🏠 You cant bring home your rugs on the same day. It takes them about 3weeks to 1month for them to be ready for collection!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

1️⃣ Once you arrive, they'll assign you a work station and provide you with an apron

2️⃣ Connect to their wifi to project your designs on the canvas and trace your designs using a marker

3️⃣ Engage in a short tutorial on how to use the tufting gun, how to prepare/change yarns, learn how to tuft different shapes etc.

4️⃣ Choose from the pretty large colour selection of yarns

5️⃣ Begin tufting your designs!

👱‍♀️ For my girlies with long hair, do clip it up before tufting to prevent them from getting caught!

EXPERIENCE: 10/10🌟

🎰 The place was really cozy, not too many people at once and trending music playing in the background was so slay. i love the atmosphere

🧶 Although it was my first time, I find tufting pretty easy to get a hang of! It gets therapeutic once you know how it works

👯‍♀️ The staff there are really helpful, they can speak eng/chi! Just ask them for help whenever in doubt!

🚻 There's a toilet there as well so not to worry!
