Setting spray is one of those makeup products you may have gone most of your life without. But once you get your first taste of the water resistant, glam extending, complexion-enhancing magic, it's off to the races.

When applied as the final step in a daily makeup routine, setting spray can help ensure your lipstick, eyeshadow, foundation and blush stay put and protected against the elements.

I love using a setting spray over makeup to combat dryness and add longevity cause some formulas prevent patchiness by creating a flexible barrier.

Whether you reach for it every time you do your makeup or just when you plan to dance, sweat, or spend time in the hot, humid sun, you're wise to keep a bottle in your bag.

When you're done with your makeup, aim the nozzle of the spray a few inches away from your face, mist in a zig zag motion to allow the product to settle over all your features, dry and go.
