carousel • the only halal buffet i've returned to

this is my favourite halal buffet in singapore! it is carousel located at royal plaza on scotts. i've been to one other popular halal buffet (peppermint on parkroyal) and thought that they both have their pros and cons — but i much preferred carousel 🎠

we went for dinner, but they do serve breakfast, lunch, and high tea too! i specifically booked dinner because they serve oysters 🦪 (which is not served for lunch) and my boyfriend loves seafood! 🦞

another reason for returning to carousel is also because of their chocolate lava cake 🍫 we'd previously visited carousel during the late covid period whereby self-serve still wasn't an option & i was too shy to ask for second servings 🥲 you MUST try their bread pudding and waffles and ice-cream as well 🧇

the chef at the pasta station was extremely friendly as well, he recommended me to try out their herbal soup after eating as it helps with metabolism! 🌿

despite their steep prices, i'd definitely return but likely only for special occasions! they do have promotions for selected bank cards, so you can get your meal discounted at least by a little 🫶 for reference, i paid $177++ for dinner for 2 adults, including the discount 💸
