i'm sure im not alone in saying this: i love cute homeware 😭 they plague my pinterest and i have a dedicated pinterest board for aesthetic homeware and objects, and home decor inspo for my future home!

with the year coming to a close and gatherings with your loved ones being more frequent, u'll probably need more plates and cups to host your guests! so i've got some suggestions for cheap, cute, and unique homeware from both online and brick-and-mortar sources~

01. taobao

— i bought 2 plates from this link ! you can browse the store as well, they have a good variety of unique tableware and most of them for less than 10SGD (excl. shipping)! the only con is that buying ceramic and general fragile items from overseas would imply high shipping costs for the weight, and also the possibility of breakage while in transit 🥲

anyhow, i used these plates for my bday celebration and they looked so cute as a table piece 🤍

02. ikea

— this is a no-brainer, you can obviously find basic tableware from ikea for cheap and it is the most convenient and quick option! i got this set of plates and bowls from the kids section LOL i think they are meant to be for play but they're ceramic and honestly you can use them for food as well 🫡 i personally bought them for picnic 🧺 purposes~

03. jalan jalan japan (jb)

— ok before i start:

!!!! this is a PSA if you go to jjj !!!! please don't overbuy (even though things are very cheap) as families do frequent the store for their necessities, so do make mindful purchases! 🫶

jjj has a vast selection of glassware and plates going from 1 RM to 10 RM and i would recommend visiting them for unique stuff! as a secondhand/thrift store, i believe some items are B grade items that are imported from factories as you can see many repeats! so it's a good place to browse for homeware~
