Here is the soft, aromatic and moist textured orange cake recipe which you definitely want to try. This cake is so light and citrusy. Even if you are not a baker, you are capable of baking this cake.
NOTE: Please use sweet oranges.
Ingredients and Method:
Zest 2 Oranges and keep aside.
In one and half cups Cake Flour add 1/4 tsp Salt, one and half tsp Baking powder. Mix and keep aside
In half cup Butter (softened) add 3/4 cup Sugar and beat until creamy.
2 eggs, add one by one.
Add one egg and beat until creamy.
Add another egg and Orange zest 2 tsp. Beat until creamy.
Add half of the flour mixture and orange Juice 1/4 cup. Beat the mixture but do not
over beat.
Add Orange food colouring (optional), remaining flour mixture and Milk 1/3 cup. Beat the mixture but do not
over beat.
Bake @ 180°c
for 20-25 minutes.
Ready.
