what I thrifted vs. how I styled it part 21

somehow I have fallen into a pattern of thrifting

ducks and swans, and I’m not sure why…. But I don’t intend to do anything about it. (:

I found this little vintage duck basket for one dollar and while I originally had no idea what to do with it, for only one dollar I could not leave it there. It’s an antique wicker texture, and I think the brown color is so moody.

I styled mine in my bathroom with some white hand towels rolled up. I’m still brainstorming other ways to style it, but someone did tell me that this big duck is actually part of a family of four other smaller sizes so maybe I will start looking to collect more!

This duck reminds me of a home decor piece that you would find in your grandmas house, and I think that’s why I love it. I think this is a great way to give purpose to a really old item and transform it into something that matches a more modern house.
