warming up a kitchen

I went back and forth on installing a stark white kitchen when I renovated my 1950s home. The biggest hurdle was finding ways to make it feel “homey” while also maintaining that “modern, updated” vibe — but let’s be honest, I had to have the white cabinets + quartz marble countertop vibe 😛

I originally installed brushed silver nickel kitchen cabinet handles, mainly because they came with the cabinets, and it definitely did look very “cold” at that time. I found these brushed brass handles on Amazon actually (after ordering about 10 wrong sets) and I’m so pleased with them.

For the rest, I highly recommend mixing in wood textures and stones like marble or travertine, anything to add texture and interest. The best decision you can make is investing in good greenery and quality stems! I will be sharing more on my favorite stems + greenery soon!
